Vampire Hunter D is one of the most original, and captivating ideas of it's time, and with 23 novels in japan, and still going, Hideyuki Kikuchi's wicked awesome writing and imagination, paired up with Yoshitaka Amano's (first break) great artwork, one cannot measure it's potential.

This Is The Blue Knight from Book 9(rose princess). I loved this particular novel because it was a twist on the classic princess in a castle with her knights to her rescue, only she was an evil vampire, and D was a hired hunter.

Inspiration to this piece came from some art in the novel(though not much to go on beside horns...) a dab of generator GAWL, and a pinch of Guyver.(though i say i was influenced by those factors, i used no reference for this)
